Android on iDevice

This is a step-by-step guide on how to install android frimware on iPhone (2G,3G) and iPod touch 1! I tested it myself and it works well on my iPhone 3G. If you need help then watch the video below. To start off you need to have a jailbroken iPhone / iPod. To jailbreak search google for "download redsnow to jailbreak <type in your frimware e.g.(3.1.3).

1-After jailbreaking you need to launch Cydia and download bootlace from Bigboss repo . Click on Manage --> Sources --> Bigboss --> Bootlace. If you don't find anything in the source then wait for Cydia to refresh.

2-Once downloaded you will need to launch bootlace from your springboard. It will say 'Patching kernel' for a few minutes. then your device will automatically reboot. If it says that your frimware is not comptaible then your only option is to restore to 3.1.3 or ios 4.

3-Launch bootlace again after your device finishes rebooting and click on OpeniBoot and download it. Next, click on iDroid and download that too (it should take about 20 mins for the download to finish). WARNING: IF YOU EVER WANT TO UNINSTALL BOOTLACE THEN MAKE SURE YOU FIRST UNINSTALL IDROID THEN OPENIBOOT AND THEN BOOTLACE.

4-Turn off your iPhone and load up iDroid. Scroll with volume buttons and select with home buttons when you can see this screen.

5-iDroid will take a while to load up for the first time. Once it finishes then slide to unlock the Android way!
