EA bought PopCap!

A big shock! EA bought Popcap for a total price of $1.3 billion. Popcap are the owners of the well-known Plants vs Zombies, Bejeweled and Zuma. Popcap as a business has been doing exceptionally well at providing highly addictive games.Plants vs Zombies alone had 300,000 downloads in the first nine days of its App Store release.
EA are even more successful than Popcap. With amazing games on several platforms such as Fifa, Medal of Honour, Assassin's Creed, Need for Speed, and much more! EA have proved themselves as a very successful games maker. Buying Popcap is expected to increase their sales. Perhaps Popcap - as a section of EA - will be making much more simple games such as PvZ and Zuma.
I think buying PopCap was a smart move for EA and it will increase their sales, but will they get as much as $1.3 billion. What  do you think? Will they be able to earn their money back? Or was it a wrong decision? Share your opinions as a comment below.
