Post your tweets to Facebook automatically (official method)

By: Marawan Alwaraki, May 14, 2012
So if you are a user of multiple social network sharing apps or you are starting to use Twitter, you will probably find this method helpful. Please note that this method only requires the Twitter website and Facebook and does not use any other apps and is therefore the 'official method'. I hope you will find this step by step guide useful. If you still need help please post the problem in the comments and I will be happy to help.

Let's get started. As long as you have an account in Twitter and Facebook then you are ready.

Step 1:
Open Twitter.com and click on the face icon in the top right corner then click on settings, or alternatively click here.

Step 2:
Click on 'Profile' in the left hand side.

Step 3:
Scroll down and you will find a connect to Facebook icon at the bottom of the page. Click on that, and allow Twitter to access your Facebook account if you are asked to.

That's it! Now you should see something like this at the bottom of the page:

As you can see you can also post your tweets to Facebook. And also note that @mentions and direct messages will not be posted. This is done for privacy.

Now your tweets should be posting to Facebook automatically. If it isn't please let me know in the comments and I will help. I have been using this feature for around 1 month and I find it great. What do you think about it?

And also, don't let the post stop here. Share this handy tip with your friends and let them enjoy it too! Just use the share buttons below and enjoy this experience with your friends.
