Just three days after the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone 5, Apple announces that its weekend sales have topped 5 million iPhones. The Cupertino company further announced that 100 million iOS devices have already been upgraded to iOS 6. Apple state that they're trying their best to make an iPhone 5 for every customer who wants one and that the issue now is with supply and not sales. Below is what Tim Cooks, CEO of Apple said about the weekend sales:
“Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive iPhone 5 shipments regularly and customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough iPhone 5s for everyone.”

Apple re-confirmed that the iPhone 5 will be available in 22 countries by the 28th of September. The countries will be Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
