Facebook getting back in the lead on iOS?

By: Unknown, May 26, 2012
Facebook's experience on iPhone has seen a few important changes over the past week. They improved the Facebook app and the Facebook in Safari, as well as releasing a couple of new apps. I would like to talk to you about some of the changes that need to be mentioned. The two new apps are Pages and Facebook Camera. Another app by Facebook that has been lying around for several months is Facebook Messenger, but it's a huge step forward by Facebook.

Facebook app:
The Facebook app's news feed interface has been slightly updated. Each post is now in a box of its own. The experience of the app has been improved by making the app more responsive and less 'laggy'.

Facebook Messenger:
Although not new, this app provides quick access to the messages app with a few cool features. It makes you aware of whether or not your message has been seen and when someone is typing. The app runs smoothly and it really made me use Facebook more often.

Facebook  Camera:
This is an interesting new app considering Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion. The app has been accepted with a 3 star rating and being featured in the 'Editor's choice' on the App Store. The app functions similarly to Instagram but there doesn't seem to be much reason for it. But it could be revolutionary in the upcoming future, we will just have to wait and see.

This is  This should have been a great app for admins of Facebook pages to easily manage their Facebook pages from their iDevice. But the app is highly unresponsive. It is rated 2.5 stars. The app offers insights on your pages too! But the lag of the app is unacceptable.

All of these apps are available on the App Store for free. They are all available to get Facebook back on track after its poor 2 stars rating on the App Store. If Facebook improves its apps and offers great new apps it could be far ahead of its competitors. Do you think they will be able to do so?
